A girl has a right to change her mind, darnit!
Ok, so I got me a new blog design.
Which I was happy with for about 2 days. I’m such a girl…
So don’t be surprised if it changes again in a very near future.

You know that sound that comes from coffee makers when it’s almost done? That bubbly kind of sound…
That’s my favorite sound in the world, because it reminds me of my grandparents. (And that my coffee is done!) They always woke up really early in the mornings, around 05:00, and the first thing they did was to brew some coffee and sit down together by the kitchen table while having the first cup of coffee for the day.
And waking up to that sound and smell – the coffee brewing and my grandparents quietly talking to eachother in the kitchen – was just one of the nicest things I knew as a kid. It’s a fond memory and it comes back everytime I hear that coffee machine!
Because on a rainy Monday in the middle of December most of us need some cheering up!

Today I’m going nuts and posting…a recipe!!! But it’s sooo easy and sooo good I can’t keep it from you really…
Here it goes:
Oatmeal cookies
- 75 grams margarine or butter
- 1 deciliter sugar
- 1 deciliter oatmeal (grains, not oat flower)
- 1 deciliter white flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1-2 tablespoons milk
- 1-2 tablespoons light baking syrup
1. Melt the butter
2. Mix everything together
3. Put about 9 spots of mixture on each baking plate – small spots!! They grow…
4. Bake for about 5 minutes at 200 degrees (C).
5. Enjoy!
If you’re feeling adventurous you’ll dip them in melted chocolate when they’re done… *drools*
(If you need a converter, I found one here that seems ok.)
This is what I’ve been missing in my life, I realize that now!
A cute, cushy turtle generating star-images on the ceiling… How could you resist?!
I’ve said it before and I’m saying it again: I need a USB cup-warmer!
I’ve been so had by the product text it’s embarrassing, but you can’t argue the fact that cold coffee is a computer geeks daily torment!
We’ve all been there. You’ve just brewed yourself a steaming cup of liquid Loveliness, you get back to your desk to a flurry of urgent emails and by the time you’ve averted all manner of minor disasters like the superhuman workhorse that you are, your cup of steaming refreshment is stone cold.
Maybe the fact that it’s a hub with 4 USB ports makes it a bit easier to defend buying…?
